Suzanne Stewart, M.D.

Dr. Suzanne Stewart is a board certified psychiatrist. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at St. George’s Hospital, London, England, and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry in 1993. Dr. Stewart subsequently moved to the United States where she obtained certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed her fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000.

In addition to her traditional psychiatry training and experience, Dr. Stewart has continued her search for the most effective treatment for her patients which has led her to receive additional training and experience in hypnosis, past life regression and functional medicine.

She is committed to pursuing a holistic integrative approach to patient centered care with a focus on evaluating interactions among emotion, environment, hormones, nutrition, immune and gastrointestinal systems and incorporating traditional psychiatric approaches with botanical and natural medicine, mind-body practices and lifestyle changes for optimal health.

Dr. Stewart maintains membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK), the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as the Institute for Functional Medicine.
